Xirokambi is located 15 km south of Sparta, off the main road (E 65) to Gythio, and 215 kilometres from Athens.
Athens International Airport The airport is situated along the Attiki Odos Highway. Follow the directions towards Elefsina and continue along the national road to Corinth (E94) and then to Tripoli. It is a three-hour drive from the airport to Xirokambi.
Kalamata Airport The airport of Kalamata is located 65 km from Xirokambi. There are two flights per week from Thessaloniki, all year round. From May to October several charter airlines fly to Kalamata.
Car rental services are available at both airports.
Port of Patras There are several ferry connections from the ports of Ancona and Venice, in Italy, to the port of Patras, in the north-west Peloponnese. You can even choose to take the car train from Germany to Ancona. The port of Patras is located 280 km from Xirokambi.
Public Transport There is a frequent bus connection from Athens to Sparta (three hours), departing from the bus terminal at Kifissou Street, in Athens. Express bus X93 will take you directly from Athens Airport to this bus terminal (one hour). In Sparta, you can continue your trip by bus or taxi to Xirokambi. We can also arrange to pick you up.
By car Take the national road from Athens or Patras towards Corinth, and then continue along the motorway to Tripoli. Here the motorway continues to Kalamata, but take the main road (E65) to Sparta and Gythio. In Sparta, follow the road signs towards Gythio for another 12 kilometres. Take a right turn towards the signposted road to Xirokambi and continue till you reach the village square, with its plane trees and terraces. Take a right turn at the kiosk on the square. You’ll find our office after 250 meters on your left.
If you arrive via Kalamata, take the road to Sparta and from there continue as described above.
