α Workshop for beginners

Spring in Lakonia Greece is beautiful in spring. Flowers spread like a sea along the road, in the fields, below the olive trees and between ancient excavations.

Programme
During this 4-day workshop we combine daily sessions on technique and composition with practice on various outdoor locations. You get to know the basics of your camera: the use of speed, aperture and ISO values. You experience how to handle your camera well and practice the basic workflow for storing and selecting your photos.
After the daily outdoor photo shoots you view and discuss the results together in a constructive manner. We end the day with a joint dinner in one of the Xirokambi restaurants.

Enjoying Greece in spring, while improving your photo skills, is key in this workshop.

    Menelaion
  • The village of Xirokambi
  • Anakolou gorge - ravine with bridge dating back to 1st century BC
  • Menelaïon - ancient temple dedicated to King Menelaos and his wife Helen of Troy
  • Mystras - churches and ruins from the heydays of the late Byzantine Empire (13th century AD)
  • Olive groves- fascinating and age-old olive trees amidst spring flowers


In each location we take ample time for photography.

The workshop starts on Thursday 25 March (Greek holiday, Independence Day) and ends on Sunday 28 March after lunch.
